Subject: FLASH: File size. PC > Mac
From: Paul Kilgour

Dear all,

Just a little query regarding odd file sizes.

Yesterday I e-mailed a file to Eric Smollin, who very kindly sorted out my
Tell Target problem for me. Thanks again Eric. I use a Mac, and the original
file size that I sent to him was 129K (122,880 bytes). When I recieved it
back with the correct Tell Target information sorted out, it was 258K
(236,032 bytes). Almost double the size. The file itself was virtually
unchanged apart from the correct Action info.

Is this a common thing when transfering files from Mac to PC and vice versa?
Do Macs make smaller files than PC's? I used a PC for a couple of years
(Quark, Freehand, Photoshop etc), and I don't remember the files sizes being
significantly different from Mac. Is this just a Flash thing?

Just curious.

Regards,

Paul.
