In November 1998 (maybe a little before and after), there was a discussion
on this list on how to simulate drag and drop in Flash and some concensus
that it could be done (though I don't believe I ever saw a site that
actually did so). Brad Merritt(? I believe) made a "dress the snowman"
screensaver that used drag and drop with dhtml (I think) and there was some
discussion on how to do the same thing in Flash 3. Unfortunately my own
archives aren't complete enough to find the whole discussion and the parts I
have don't include the URL to the screen saver to see if it even exits
still. In any case, maybe someone can do a search of the newsgroup archives
or has a more complete archive themselves and find information that might be
helpful to you. The pieces of the thread I have are from Nov. 23, 1998. Oh,
it's a *lot* easier in Flash 4... this seems like a lot of work to me :)
