Yes, about 6%

Finally some stats. It looks like e-corps should be in the forefront of
giving away 56k modems and/or mandating cable access into every home
subsidized by the government :-)
Think about that when you want to do Quicktime movies :-(

SLLLLOW MODEMS AT HOME: The most-installed modems among home users are
28.8/33.6 Kbps. Nielsen NetRatings found that 45 percent of the home
user population falls into this category. Another 41 percent are going
online through a 56 Kbps modem, and a very slow 8 percent are using a
14.4 Kbps modem. The smallest population is the 6 percent who have
high-speed access at home. No surprise: the number of pageviews and
monthly visits climbs dramatically with higher access speeds.
