Subject: FLASH: Contract Job Opening - Augusta, GA
From: Conlon, Matthew
Date: Tue, 22 Feb 2000 15:20:43 GMT

This is not an agency posting.

A part of my company that works in Augusta, Georgia, just lost their Flash
guy and are looking to replace him with a contractor. I rely on his output,
and so have a personal interest in seeing him replaced ASAP, and so I
thought I could speed things up by posting this info here. They use TAD as
their hiring agency. I hope this posting doesn't offend any sensibilities -
I checked the FAQ and saw nothing there.

These are the actual requirements for the position, though the boilerplate
posting they gave the agency says stuff about pasting up mechanicals and
junk like that - that can be ignored.

Multimedia/Graphic Artist Skills Required:

Seeking Flash animator with graphical art/design experience for development
of training and marketing products.

Applicant has a minimum of 1-year production experience in Macromedia’s
Flash and can provide sample of work done. Evidence of ability to script
within Flash desirable, but not required.

Successful applicant has worked in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for a
minimum of 2 years, preferably 3-5, and has used the skills within the last
6 months. Should be very skilled in photo manipulation and retouching, and
in when and how to translate between various applications, file formats,
resolutions, and compressions.

Must be able to work in a collaborative group/team atmosphere and be able to
take complex conceptual ideas from content owners and translate into
meaningful still and animated graphical representations. Individual will be
working with content developers and engineering staff.

Preferred but not required would be additional functionality in other
multimedia realms such as 3-D art, animation, digital photography and
videography and HTML/DHTML authoring.
