Even though it's very cool (as well as being a function of the site),
www.moonfruit.com uses a virtual town kind of interface, but them again,
maybe I'm thinking something different than you are :)

I am going to try to talk a client out of using a very metaphorical "virtual
town" style interface soon and I would like to gather up a few examples of
interfaces like this to help me convince them the idea isn't unique. I know
I've seen many examples of this type of interface metaphor out there on the
web but I can't remember where.
