I don't know if this is what you wanted, but I'll tell you what I always

do -

I copy and paste a freehand object into flash. This works for me because

the format from freehand is converted into a workable flash version. The

only thing is.... (and this makes it sound useless, but really, it's not

that bad) only fills copy over, and all colors will copy as black. But

what I do, is when I'm making my art in freehand, I make sure the line

has no color so I'm just creating fills, and I just use black. Then

after pasting it in flash, I usually just use the paint bucket tool and

fill in the color. Another thing I do though, if I have a more complex

shape to have color in it, I'll copy and it will paste as black, then

when it's in flash, I just click on it til I am editing it, since it is

a group, and then I fill the black in with color.

I hope I helped at least a little. and didn't confuse you...
