Slight problem.

Mission: sample a sound byte from an audio cd for use on my flash project.
Permission is granted.

Progress: I bought, downloaded and installed the QuickTime Pro from the
apple store.

It won't let me open the audio track file from the cd.
Its choices seem to be limited to URL and movie.

Also, when I use an app like soundedit, the cd track is a "non recognized
format."

How are you all getting your sound bytes when you use an audio cd in your
macs??

I went to the "Tech Support for QT" on the apple site, and similar stories
are alluded to, but no solutions.

Thanks again!
