Thanks everyone for your suggestions. However, I tried most of the things
you suggested before I posted to the list. It is on a server so I moved the
whole folder to my box and it still wouldn't save. I then copied the frames
and pasted them into a new movie. It saved the first time but then I would
run into the same thing again whether I tried to save as a new file or not.
This works I guess but makes it kind of chaotic having to make a new movie
every time I want to save. Any other suggestions?

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, defragged, scanned disk, scanned for viruses,
used save as, moved it from the network to my machine, checked to make sure
they aren't read only files and no I haven't installed any new software. If
I missed something I probably did that too just forgot to write it =).
Anyhow any other ideas are more than welcome I've got some projects I'd like
to get finished... =)

Thanks again for your help.

Some possible causes (from my experience, so this isn't an exhaustive list):

-File already open elsewhere;
-File is on a CD-Rom (cannot be written to);
-File WAS on a CD-Rom, hence it got copied to hard-disk as write-protected;
-File was opened off a network, and the network connection is no longer
available.

If you can do a "Save-As," it would tend to point toward a file problem
such as those above. If you cannot do a "Save-As," it would tend to point
to a problem with your Flash installation (try re-installing), your system,
or your hard-drive (maybe a FAT problem -- have you run Scan Disk?).

Of course, try re-installing Flash; it's one of the quickest, easiest fixes
so try it before spending too much time on any other hunches.

Hopefully others on our list have some more ideas.
