This is a comment from the visitor's point of view. Considering the number
of times I've been denied access to a site or shuffled off to the <plain
vanilla HTML> after being told I didn't have the plugin (which I do), I
have grown very fond of the sites which give me the choice to enter the
Flash version even though it thinks I do not have the plugin. There are two
usual structures for giving that access -- 1) get the plugin and return and
enter here (knowing I have it, I just go right ahead in), or 2) this site
comes in two versions FLASH or HTML-please enter the one you wish to view.
I think the second way is probably superior since even those with a plugin
may for whatever reasons decide they don't want to view FLASH movies at
that time. I've decided that's how I'm going to construct the sites I
create.
My 2¢ worth.
Louise
