Connect to www.microsoft.com and look into WMT - Windows Media Technology -

The stream quality is awsome and kicks Real Player any day - one problem

though, it's a bitch to develop for mac (thanx MS) and like Real you will do

well to use a dedicated streaming server - Oh, and you can play Flash over

the top and use JS to control the vide beneath it.
