To Ray:

Its a terrible thing that in this day and age, that experience and know-how
do not count with all too many people.

I have long since put away ''my fear'' of trusting knowledge from someone
younger than me.... in the world of web, some of my best guru's have been
between the ages of 15 and 17!

My suggestion for you is start your own website, go to some small business
courses [taking courses on bookkeeping and record keeping for sure] and get
out there and sell yourself.

Don't tell yourself you can't.

Start out the conversation with, "I would like to come by to show you my
portfolio to give you an overview of my capabilities and hope that you
wouldn't mind giving me an overview of your company." Most people love to
show you what they do and they love to see what you do. They don't like to
buy when they're not ready and they don't like to get pushed. But if you
stay really laid back and remember that its all an adventure in learning,
there's no doubt you will come away from each experience with some valuable
information.

Have faith in yourself.

There is a lot of diverse work out there --- definitely not enough skilled
people. As many years as I have in the business [over 22] they mean very
little now in this very exciting age of the internet, and even at my ancient
age of 54 [yikes NOT that old] I am relearning everything.

I started my own business and a business person I am not. Even so, I am
making a living and learning while I'm doing it. This flasher dialogue site
is one of the greatest ways to learn.

Start looking at the world differently. Come out of the box. Build a teepee.
And by all means, do not let it get you down. The way I got out of worry was
accepting Jesus... but thats another story!

Good luck,
Isabel http://www.isabelsmith.com
