Subject: FLASH: moock fps speedometer posted
From: Colin Moock

for those of us who have struggled to make a movie play back at the same
speed on various new and old machines, i've created the moock fps speedometer
for flash 4. visit:
http://www.moock.org/webdesign/flash/actionscript/fps-speedometer/

the speedometer can be easily (no...really, easily) added to any existing
movie. once added, the speedometer displays the average frames per second
(fps) of the movie as well as the fps of the last 10, 25, 50, 75, or 100
frames. once you know the fps of a movie on your slowest target machine, you
can then set the movie's fps to the appropriate level so faster machines will
run roughly the same as the slow ones.

have fun!

colin

ps. if anyone discovers any bugs/problems etc, i'd appreciate hearing about
it...
