I was able to edit it perfectly and change the image behind it...
Edit the symbol of the text, and you will see it as a grouped object..
edit the group, delete the existing image inside the group, then paste in
your new vector art inside this group.

so make sure your vector art is "broken apart" before you paste it inside
the group..
then it should work perfectly.

I am looking at it again just now, and the top layer is a standard mask
layer with nothing fancy about it.. so you can place anything you want in
that layer, provided that you delete the old stuff first and follow all of
the normal rules of "masking" in Flash.

what i want exactly is a .fla from flashkit called disclight.fla. Since it
seems DLing from Flashkit is messed up right now, I have posted both the
.fla and .swf versions at

www.crosby-web.com/disclight.fla
www.crosby-web.com/disclight.swf

I want that effect, with a different image behind it, and 4 hours ago, I
thought that would be real simple since i had the .fla and all.

please help

TIA
steve

You can't "directly" drag a MC that acts as a Mask.

Search Flashkit for a FLA called "Zoom" or something like that... That's
what u want.
