You can't put frame actions in button frames. The way to do this is
put a button hit state in an mc. The hit state only will be
invisible, (blue if button controls are disabled). Then you put your
tell targeting actions in the instance of the "invisible" button just
as you have done. The ripple mc will be on the main stage where you
give it the instance name ripple, but you will need to tell target it
as "/ripple".
