Subject: Re: FLASH: Editable E-mail signatures ?

Hi Cheri ! Thank you for answering !

As you have rightly pointed out, a few issues are already solved (especially
so the "send page" feature to get an easy "flash template" to fill up with
the body of the mail...)

And, right again, I'm mainly struggling now with the "go to
variable-named-label" problem which, most unfortunately, wasn't solved with
your suggestion changing "=" to "eq" : the movie still stops on the "red"
label, despite instructions in the loaded text file to go to the "green"
label :o(

I feel I'm overlooking something very obvious there, but I can't put my
finger on it...

By the way, only the client will have "access" to the variables and will
upload changes from time to time, to sort of "parametrize" (or customize)
his banner without specific knowledge

Another dangling question is related to the odd reports I got from some
sources, that animated (gif) banners inserted as signature sometimes appear
as such, sometimes are received as attachments, sometimes... are not
aminated (I inververted the frames so the last and most "significant" one,
with the address and so, would appear first so if the gif "freezes"
important information is still visible)... and sometimes doesn't appear at
all ! I'm currently trying to know the mail client and OS people reporting
these odd behaviors are using - but you may have experienced that gathering
useful information besides "it-does-not-work" isn't always that easy;o)

Did someone of you already experienced this and, also, can someone have a
look at the small peice of code that is already responsible of a few
additional grey hairs ? ;o)

Thank you in advance !

Pierre-Henri

| p-h, hi!
|
| How much of all that is still the question? It sounds like you have
| answered all of your own questions except the "go to variable-named-label"
| and that _should_ work, just need to de-bug that part...or are there more
| dangling questions ??
|
| You might try changing "=" to "eq" in your string comparison...don't know
| what else might be wrong...and I am not "officially recommending" your
| solution, as I don't know how many email clients are going to handle this
| the way you think they are...
