FLASH: IE5 on mac - sniffer discovery?

hi all,


maybe you all know this & maybe i'm dumb, however i switched my ie5 beta for

the release version last night, then went online to check a section of my

site that i'd just uploaded, & got my first screen with the 'no-smoke' sig

on it, with a msg. saying i didn't have a plug in for my page, then

automatically a screen came up for the 1-2-3 download of the flash player.


you see, i'd forgotten to switch all my plugins from the beta version,

however i thought it neat that either the dreamweaver envelope or the swf or

IE5 would do all this for me (or any viewer without flash player) since i

haven't bothered installing sniffers on any of my flashes

PS: there may be a big bug in the ie5 release--- it's crashing (freezing the

os) quite frequently, causing me to force restart. the beta didn't do this.

anybody else having a similar prob?
