Moema, the reason for this is, the CD has to be read from once it is inserted, on

windows systems only, so it can get the information from is, there for making it

(Supposedly) read faster. While reading, the windows team put a simple few lines of

code in the CD read command. To run the information in the autorun.inf


On the Diskette site, the Diskette isn't read from on insert, it is read from the point


it is viewed, there for there is really no reason for an autorun.inf


The whole reason for the autorun.inf is for the "new" computer users (I use users

loosely here) so they don't have to deal with Windows Explorer, My Computer or

Run. On a worth note, auto run can be turned off from the control panel.


I hope that airs out this subject. Any other question on this subject?
