Subject: Re: FLASH: Supporting Flash Player 4 on your site

I am kind of agreeing with DG on this one. I was expecting some upgrades
like "gradient masking" and other low-key graphical fixes if you will. My
main hype about Flash 4 is the upgraded interface (especially the timeline
and library features). I have done lots of digital video and if the
interface is a lot more like Premiere and AfterEffects, it will make me
happier.

About the scripting (CGI or whatever), I am for the support. I work for an
e-commerce company and it will make my mission of using Flash, instead of
"flat" pages, a lot easier. Granted a lot of designers don't have the desire
to learning programming, I do and I learned Lingo to make my Director skills
better, so I think maybe it is just initial shock. If people want to make
their Flash better, they will learn what they have to. I have seen some
pretty amazing stuff come out of people on this list and I have faith
everyone wants to do what they have to, to get better.

You are not missing anything DG, I am in the same boat you are.

Mike Krisher
