Well, IMHO, that sucks... not because it won't open the protected swf but
because it lets one extract stuff from it... that was one of the big appeals
to the Flash format, was the fact that it could be protected and outside of
the fact of doing a print screen and making a bitmap, content couldn't be
stolen from it...
Guess that's all changed...

The only app I know of right now is SWF Browser.
Nothing will allow you to have full-edit like a FLA. in a SWF file, (unless
something new has come out), but SWF Browser will allow you to extract
things such as Movie clips, sounds, BMP/graphics. SWF internals, etc...
At least your on your way to rebuilding.

...for anyone who can tell me how to find the app that will allow me to edit
an .swf as a fully editable .fla
i lost my hard drive to cluster madness, and while the data recovery folks
in canada are trying to save my life, i still have CD deadlines that must be
met. as long as i can, somehow, extract the .swf off the first run of the
CD project and bring it in as editable, i will be ok.
please tell me one of you geniuses can help. please. please. please.
