Jayse,

I'm happy to help pep up any of those dreary Powerpoint presentations.
;)

In response to your other questions,

I believe if you choose embed movie, the file will take a copy of the
movie with it. This has always scared me, so I've never tried it. You
should experiment and report back to us.

It's easiest to just visit a Flash web site with IE on those laptops.
Then the ActiveX control will download automatically. If you have to
venture into distributing the installer, you need to talk to Macromedia
about licensing the installer and their fee structure.

Hope that helps,
Rick

P.S. It's great to see this list responding so quickly! Great tune-up.

One:
I chose 'embed movie' - does that now mean I can put it on other
machines
without having to adjust the 'movie URL' path?

Two:
Thanks for the info about the Shockwave Active X control - is that the
same
as the 'plug-in' for IE 4.0?

Can I grab the installer from the web - drop it on a disk and install it
on
each of the five Laptops they'll be using?

Thanks again for being so quick and so helpful!

You've made my day!
