FLASH: Generator

I am sorry if I should have posted this on the newbie forum.

I have looked at the Generator page on the MM site and cannot figure out 

what Generator does? If my ISP has it on their server, do they  add a fee 

for using Generator? I saw the price was in the thousands of $, is this for 

the server software or for the developer ver.(I did see a package for just 

over $1K that included flash5, how much without flash?) How is the learning 

curve (I am currently learning Flash, Dreamweaver and Fireworks.)

Is it difficult to add the functionality to a pages as you create them? Is 

it hard to administer once you have it installed?
