"Scratch-off" types of things have been done in the Shockwave Player

through the use of the "trails" ink effect, but the smaller Macromedia

Flash Player isn't pixel-based like that, sorry.


Would it be possible for you to have them click away a covering instead? If

you actually had to detect a scratching motion then it might be possible to

regularly poll for the continuation of a mouse press while the cursor

locations change, but revealing individual bits beneath the mouse might be

difficult... the only thing I might think of along those lines would be

having many, many, many little buttons covering a shape, ending up as

transparent, but that doesn't seem like a graceful solution.


Sorry, I'm coming up dry on that wish request... easy in Shockwave, but I

don't see a comparable method here...?
