If you were taking an intro class or a class devoted to many facets of
Flash the Flash 4 class would be all right, but usually a good part of an
Advanced Flash course is devoted to actionScript and Flash 5 actionScript is
quite different. It is much more powerful and flexible and, in a lot of
ways, more logical.
It seems to me you would be learning a lot of things you would then have to
forget in order to really come to grips with 5.

I am signed up for an advanced Flash class. Can anyone tell me whether it is
wise to take it even though it is based on Flash 4. Will it just slow me
down in the long run?
