The JavaScript: protocol and FS Command can only send string information
to JavaScript.
In FS command you can send a command and argument which can be
interpretted as

The more versatile method is based is FS Command which allows 2 way
communication with Flash. You can still not send variables directly from
Flash with FS Command, but can issue a command that will initiate a
Flash action the will get or set a variable value from Flash.
