Subject: FLASH: Flash 4 locks up
From: Phil Matt

Hello! I have been running Flash 4 for about 4 months without any
problems at all. Windows NT SP5, 320Mb RAM, dual PII 333.

All of a sudden, a fairly complicated Flash file consistently crashes
the program when I attempt to do almost anything with the file -
adding a layer, running a Netscape preview, adding a text box, etc.
I can kill Flash with the NT Task Manager and restart, but it crashes
every time I try to get any work done.

No hardware problems on the system. The .FLA in question is only
about 40K, but as I'm still working out the movie, it has about 30
layers. I tried to Save As, but the resultant new file also crashes the
program.

Macromedia has some notes about Flash 3 being somewhat unhappy
about dual processor systems, but setting the Flash4 program to only
use one processor makes no difference - crashes again and again
anyhow.

Does anyone know how I can fix this thing?

TIA --- Phil Matt
