Subject: FLASH: Re: Transparent background in MAC - Netscape or IE

Hi all,

I have conducted some research and I am beginning to feel that what I am
trying to achieve just cannot be done. So before I completely rule out
this possibility, I thought Id get the lists opinion and feedback to see
if anyone else had previously worked this out.

Basically, Im just trying to get a background tiled GIF image to display
through a flash 4.0 SWF file with alpha 0% transparency in colour. It
works fine within the IE browser for the PC (not Netscape), however on
the MAC platform, it doesn't seem to work at all, within either IE or
NETSCAPE browsers (it just presents as a black colour).

We have utilised the Object Wmode = Transparent function which seems to
work within IE/PC but not MAC. However is there an equivalent for
NETSCAPE ????

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and highly valuable.

thank you (in advance :)

joe.
