Andrew,

Try saving out a new copy of the .fla file and see if you can open that.
If that doesnt work, look at what is different with this .fla file
versus the normal ones you work on and transfer back and forth.

Did you possibly import a windows only file format into your .fla
file? maybe using sound compression that is unavailable on the mac?
etc. etc.
