RE: FLASH: F4 - load movie problem

Do you have more than 1 frame in the Preloader scene?   you need to have a

loop i.e. on frame 2 of preloader say Goto and play frame 1. take a look at

two things on www.flashhelp.co.uk. Firstly there is a tutorial for If Frame

is loaded under ActionScript Tutorials or look at the free preloader under

'New scripts. Just copy the first scene into your movie as first scene and

it will preload the movie and show a progress bar.

I have a short animation

140k, 32fps output w/ mp3 sound

5 scenes plus a preload movie

Total length about 30 seconds -

with the following load movie action script:


If Frame Is Loaded (sc5, "end")

      Go to and Play (sc1, 1)

End Frame Loaded


When the movie is played on a 56k modem, it is almost

like the load movie command is ignored - and the load

takes about 4 minutes.  I see the first 5 seconds of

animation after the movie, then it cycles for a bit,

and the rest plays.


Any suggestions/comments?
