Subject: RE: FLASH: "Sticking" buttons function??

Hi Chris,

Thank you so much for offering help :) Thing is, the designer doesn't want the
content to be Flash at all. He almost wants to load the flash movie as a
"graphic" in each regular HTML page. So the text will be plain ol' HTML. That's
my problem. To me, this means eight flash movies, 1 for each page, with the down
graphic in place of the dynamic button depending on section. But I was hoping
there would be another way. Is there??

Gina

|Gina,
|
|If you can put the pie chart and the eight sections (assuming each of the
|sections are in Flash as well) together, then you could have one URL with
|all the info in one flash movie altogether. The only possible downside is
|the amount of content for each section.
|If these sections are larger, they could then be included or referenced into
|the master. (e.g., product_acq.swf loaded into a placeholder mc)
|
|Either way, I would just copy the button graphic's on state and replaced it
|in each respective section. That is, if section 1 starts at frame 50 to 60,
|then replace the button for those frames only.
|
|Although it's not exactly the same, take a look at this swf I was working on
|(it's beta and therefore a little rough, but if you look how the buttons on
|the left work, this might help you out.)
