You need to "Save As", which I am told starts anew.

Subject: FLASH: Messy .fla files

Hi all,

A while ago now someone on a list suggested that when you save a .fla it
only quick saves it by attaching the information you have added since the
last save on the end.

This makes large .fla files very bulky and disorganised I guess. Is there
any way to get around this problem and perhaps make my large .fla files
smaller?
