Subject: FLASH: Tell Target Problem
From: Seth Newton
Date: Tue, 12 Sep 2000 20:43:37 +0100

Hello all,

I am trying to get a button that is inside of a loaded movie(_level1) to
change the position of the timeline in the main movie. Here's the code
that's inside the instance of the button of the loaded movie.

Symbol: Skip Ahead
Track as button

On (Release)
Begin Tell Target ("_level0/")
Go to Next Frame
End Tell Target
End On

The thing is....I created a few dummy movies to test this out with....and it
works great, does exactly what I want them to do.....but when I plug that
same code into my program, it's not working. This makes me think it's not
my code, but something in how I set it up. And the really weird thing is
that this button will advance the loaded movie(instead of the main timeline)
by one frame, yet I loaded that movie at _level1, not _level0. Anyone have
any ideas as to what the heck is going on?

I want to cuss and break things, but job preservation is probably best right
now.

Thanks all,
-Seth.
