Subject: FLASH: load variable problem
From: Rachel Bachman

Using Flash 5

I load a variable from a text file,
example:
entryTotal=5

I want to use it for its numeric value
but can't seem to do that.

example:
sum = entryTotal;

tells me that sum = undefined

Is there a way I need to write it in my
txt file to indicate that it is a numeric
value instead of a string?

I've tried a bit to convert the string value
(at least what appears to be a string) with
not much luck. I may just be doing that wrong.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
