UKNM: 3G promises promises

Does anyone have an idea how much the first 3G handsets are likely to cost?

Given the crazy amounts spent on licencing, will the companies involved ever

be able to recoup their investment and provide a service at an acceptable

cost, or will this be a technology limited to business applications?

Additionally, will it all work seamlessly and deliver what is promised?  I

already hear there are potential problems with handset power consumption and

network infrastructure.
