Hi Claire

We have placed job postings on general job boards
for our clients, with limited success. The results at
times have been disappointing with low quality and
quantity CVs...

So at the end of the day we have had to manage our
client's (sometimes unrealistic) expectations when we
place online ads. This is why we always advise that
online recruitment advertising should act as a complement
to the tried and tested methods of traditional media advertising!

We have found that it is the more specialist websites
e.g. www.newscientistjobs.com that candidates use to apply
for jobs. However, to get an ad onto this site, you first
have to advertise in the traditional New Scientist Magazine.

Our online recruitment strategy sees driving traffic to our
client’s recruitment websites as critical. We have achieved
this by promoting our clients websites in traditional media;
sponsoring very targeted email newsletters (e.g. job of the day),
creating pop-up windows, which are displayed on the home
page of our clients corporate site advertising their recruitment
section; creating email employee referral programmes and
placing and optimising job posting in specialist recruitment
websites.. Phew!

We have a wealth of experience with traditional and online
advertising, so if we can help please contact us. Please find
this case study on traditional recruitment advertising. We
hope you'll find this interesting and maybe even slightly amusing.

www.bsainternational.co.uk/redbanner.htm - please do not
look at the rest of our U.K. website yet as it has not been finished and we
wouldn't’t want you to judge us too much!!

Kind regards

David Craig, Online Recruitment Consultant.
