Good morning,


I realise this aired a few days ago.  But as the former Producer of the site

and still fresh from my 15 minutes of fame, I need to come to the defence of

Petspark.


1.  We do have pets.  Just don't ask me about my drowned sausage dog, the

therepy has worked wonders.

2.  Original concept and strategy for the site was for a petal not an

etailer.  I should know, I wrote the strategy.

3.  The betalaunch site was launched in October.  Funding closed end of

November.  Focus groups, etc.  ended in January.  V1 was launched in March.

Websites are organic things that continually evolve.  So I'm sure the things

that you find so terrible are being addressed.

4.  You can browse without having to register.

5.  My girlfriend looked very nice...

...and whats more they got focus group feedback on how people hated the site

and thought it was for kids, but you go to their homepage now and it's still

the same cartoony style, over 100kb of images, seems to require you to

login/register as a major part of experience, doesn't have product search

box on homepage etc etc. Terrible.
