One of my projects, www.djindex.com, is usually very fast loading considering the main page, (www.djindex.com/front.html), is over 60k!!

I really dont think that, in general, the actual file size is too important as long as the files are stored on a fast server. I have seen pages with no more that 10k of code taking forever to load due to crappy servers.
