This innovative, FREE two-day course - delivered in partnership with the Creative Futures programme - will focus on the many aspects of good and effective writing; from reviews, interviews and online publishing through to pr activities including press releases, biographies and promotional copy.
Whether you're a label manager, distributor, artist, talent manager, an aspiring journalist or looking to hone your written pr skills, this accessible course will provide all with a polished and enviable tool box of skills with which to communicate the power of written word.
Tutored by Lulu Le Vay - former deputy editor of monthly fanzine Sleazenation and freelance feature writer for The Face, i-D, Jockey Slut, Xray, the Guardian Guide, The Independent on Sunday, The Evening Standard and the Observer - 'The Written Word' will also provide all with a 360-degree view of music writing within an industry context.
DIARY - Dates & Times: Fri 18 & Sat 19 Feb, 2011. The course will run from 10.00 - 17.00 hrs on both days, with a 1-hour break for lunch (not included)
Venue: The Boardroom - University of Westminster, 309 Regent Street, London, W1B 2UW
Cost: FREE to registered, trading businesses and individuals who MUST be based in a London postcode.
Strictly no walk-up, pre-registration and acceptance onto both the Creative Futures programme and for this event are mandatory.
