Description

There's much discussion these days about cloud computing. A couple of weeks ago we were talking analytics in the cloud with Cooladata, and now the App Developer Alliance is bringing you some experts to quiz about hosting your apps in the cloud. It should also be a good chance for some networking amongst your peers.

What hosting in the Cloud actually means and how deploying app servers in the Cloud can help your business.

Chances are that if you have an app, you’ll also need backend server support to provide great services to your customers. Thankfully, the days of paying for expensive servers in data centres is no longer necessary in this era of cloud hosting. The question is, what does 'hosting in the cloud' really mean? What options are available?

In this session, the Application Developers Alliance is bringing together thought leaders from Rackspace, Google, and ElasticHosts to take a look at different ways that you can deploy app servers in the cloud. And it's your chance to quiz them about how to make the most of it.

We'll also have a one-on-one discussion with Eugene Stipp from Yahoo about their experience of rolling apps out across Europe. What have they done? How have they done it? What did they learn along the way?
