Hi Dave and all,


  Unfortunately there have been 4 recent mistakes in sending attachments

to the List all about the same time. Michael, Jim, Jan and Chris were

the culprits, all corrected their mistakes on next posting and some

appologized to the List.

   OT (Off Topic) posts should be limited to Flash related topics that

are only somewhat off topic. Lately, there have been way too many

totally unnecessary posts that have nothing to do with Flash or this

List. It should be OK to be humorous (or try to be) while making posts

to the List but totally off the wall stuff should normally not be posted

to this List. If you're not sure if something should be posted then you

know you should not post it to the List. Most OT messages should not

have replies sent to the List, send them directly to the sender who

should make sure he has a linkable Email address to make it easy to

respond to (

whoevernowhere [dot] com (mailto:whoevernowhere [dot] com)

 ). Not don't put any spaces

inside and place a leading space ahead of the mailto:. Generally the

best policy is to ignore mistakes and OT messages (whether labeled or

not) rather than respond to them. 

   It is appreciated if you would crop the Quotes of referenced Emails

but please don't forget to include the URL in the linkable form (such as

http://www.FlashCentral.com) so people don't have to search for the link

you are talking about. The message may have been deleted because it

seemed unimportant until someone read your post.

   Many people don't post to moderated lists for two main reasons. First

there is always a delay so moderating can be accomplished and secondly

when you post a better answer and it doesn't make it to the List you

feel slighted and don't feel like posting again. Of course your post may

have not made it to the moderator or he may have just overlloked it but

you would still feel slighted. In any case I generally find Moderated

Lists of less value than unmoderated ones. 

   If everyone would be just a little more careful and a little more

courteous then most everybody should be happy. If only there was a Email

option that would send Email in 30 seconds if you don't hit cancel, I

would be happy.
