right, you'll have a sequence ending with FRAME ACTION="stop" reference
your buttons to "ONMOUSE(CLICK)>GOTO and PLAY a frame beginning
afterwards.

ex. > you have an opening sequence which takes up 200 frames, on the
200th frame use FRAME ACTION="stop"

have your button GOTO and PLAY frame 205 where you have the
button sequence.

this is called top down structure.
(you can save each sequence as an embedded movie to prevent layer
proliferation)
REMEMBER that all frame actions remain in place until another key frame
is put in place.
