You got that one right, Russel.

I teach this stuff at the post secondary level and I, too, have found John's
willingness to answer questions, offer guidance and simple decency to be
amazing.

It is not often an educator finds an honest-to-god living resource who is
willing to answer questions- on the phone and in a public forum- with the grace
, class and clarity John has shown on a regular basis in his dealings with me.
Most don't give educators the time of day or treat us in a condescending
manner. It''s that old "those that can do, those that can't, teach"- thing.
John goes in the opposite direction and makes the time and treats me as a peer.

I look forward to the release of his book .

As for Warren, I hope he has a good rest. He is that rare species of multimedia
guy- he cares passionately about his craft and the tools he works with. I have
watched him through the years on Direct-L and have never ceased to be amazed at
his energy and sharp wit. The recent charge he led regarding Shockwave must
have wiped him out and I hope he comes back soon. My students will miss him.
