If you can or want to afford it, there is relatively inexpensive utility
software available to translate Mac on Wintel; however, the
quicker/easier method is often to either:

a) ask the Mac owner to place the files on a PC-formatted disk
b) ask the Mac owner to erase and reformat the existing disk to PC format
using either Iomega Tools or Finder: Special: Erase: ProDOS; then adding
the files back to the disk
c) reformat the disk yourself to ProDOS, return it to the Mac owner, and
claim it came to you blank with an innocent look on your face

TIP for Mac Owners: Leave your trading Zips and Orbs formatted in ProDOS;
you and your Mac brethren will always be able to read either format, so
no huge advantages exist in keeping it as Mac; this way you won't
irritate your Wintel friends who's machines do not come with bundled File
Exchange features.
