I think the most important thing to remember about navigability is
that we should never assume the user cares enough or knows
enough to read everything (or that they would understand it, even if
they did read it). Think about how many people would die if the
'play' button on their brand new VCR was rigged to explode when
pressed. How many of them would be saved if the VCR had a big
'Please read the manual before using' sticker on it, and the manual
said not to press the button? I know I'd be dead...

I've personally had the plug-in up and running for a 1/2 year
without a reinstall and never would have seen the page if I wasn't
doing browser detection tests on a bunch of browsers I've never
used. The majority of the people that go there are end-users. Yet
a simple note to this list would have exposed the bug on day 1.
Now I wonder why, now that the bug has been exposed, it can still
be downloaded?
