FLASH: STANDALONE APP IN FLASH

hey all..  hope all is well.


anyone know where I can find any information on building

standalone applications using flash? 

actual standalone applications, not fake ones

(fake ones being .exe files that are just projectors)


idea is to make a media player in flash..with c++/Delphi

for the functionality.

any help on this?


where do I start.. I have heard that it's been done before.
