FLASH: how would we do this?

sigh.


a client has asked for "menus like my favorites tab in ie". ok, we say. easy

enough with flash. but flash might not be the best solution for a bunch of

reasons.


so I went off and poked around at dhtml - thinking hierarchical text menus

might be a good idea - and was horrified. I couldn't find  tutorials which

worked on both browsers anywhere. the sniffing code in one highly touted

site blithely informed me that "I needed 4.0 browsers" and dumped me. I

visited the site with IE and NN 4.5 and 4.7 respectively. Mac. I guess that

goes without saying.


Anyhow, anybody who can point me in a good direction will be really

appreciated.


BTW, Flash 5 - from the discussions here - sounds like it will be great, but

like I said Flash might not be the best solution for this particular

challenge.
