If you find that the trailing movie clip is jerky, it's due to the slow frame rate. I would recommend setting the frame rate much higher - depending on your movie content, you could even max out the
frame rate at 120fps. Keep in mind that a) this helps with movies that don't have "animation", but require quick responsiveness to actions, especially draggable items, and b) most machines will not
come anywhere *near* 120fps... more like 20-30fps tops. However, if you set the fps higher, you'll get all machines performing as fast as they can. Draggable items will appear much smoother and less
"jerky". This will probably not be an option if you have tweening or other animated playback, as it will look like "fast-forward".

Just a tip - if you've made a navigation interface that does not have movement, upping the frame rate is the best thing you can do to improve the responsiveness. Otherwise, we're just running into the
frame rate restrictions of Flash. For more info on that, and why Director is capable of achieving higher frame rates, check this out:
