Subject: FLASH: Missing or Vague Subject Headers
From: Marc Hoffman, Poison Dart Frog Media
Date: Sat, 5 Feb 2000 02:44:28 GMT

Just a reminder: before sending your message to this list, please check to
see if you have included a meaningful subject header. A meaningful header
is one that 1) describes what the message is about, 2) is different from
other subject headers, so folks can keep track of threads, and 3) includes
<OT> (off-topic) if not directly related to Flash. I have been seeing lots
of messages with no subject header, ora subject header that is just the
digest number, or a subject header such as "test site" which, of course, is
just like several other recent posts and cannot be tracked.

I enjoy reading and responding to messages, and I try to make a point of
holding onto messages a few days and trying to answer them if no one else
does, but it's much harder to be helpful when the subject headers are
missing or don't contain enough useful information.

Thanks.
