FLASH: $version variable broken in Netscape?

Matt,


In reference to your technote entitled "Attempts to send data from a

Flash movie to a server are not working" (ID: 14234), the $version

variable described in the last example does not seem to show up in

NS (versions 4.5 and 4.7) under Windows 98 (plug-in r13) or in NS

version 4.7 (plug-in r7) under Mac OS 8.6.


Is this "hidden" variable an IE/Windows-only mechanism?
