What version of AW are you using?

The new Xtra allows Flash 4.0 but I think it only works in AW5.

How is your timeline set up? Are you navigating with buttons or by
time. You may have to put a stop icon in and continue when your flash
is done.

What problems are you having importing - what are the symptoms? I
have a lot of Flash in AW experience but I need details. Also be
aware that there is the AWARE list you can go to for help on AW. (Pun
intended! :-)) Visit it from the Macromedia site.

1. Although I have added the newest Asset Xxtra 7.0.1
to the Xtra's
folder, I still can't use Flash Version 4.0 movies (I
have to save them as
Flash 2.0). Is there a work around on this? When I
import 2.0 into
Authorware, transitions fail.

2. On my Authorware timeline, the Flash movie begins
to play...but then
continues down the Authorware timeline without
allowing the Flash .swa to
complete....
