FLASH: JPEG compression question

So, if I save a compressed JPEG from PhotoShop or Fireworks and import it

into Flash... what does Flash do to the JPEG when it's exported as a .swf?

Is it re-compressed using Flash algorithms or does it maintain the

compression of the originating program? If not, how can I get a JPEG out of

Flash without it being run through the mill twice?
